The meaning of a hero is a person that puts others before themselves. Ned Kelly is a perfect example of this because he killed corrupt police in self defense and stole money and valuable items from rich people and to sell or to give to the poor. These where acts of selflessness and not greed or heartless murder, he was only looking out for and protecting the less fortunate people of the time. The other side would have you disregard his human qualities and throw aside the cause of his actions. All he did he had done for his family and his people, the Irish and many other immigrants who were treated like lesser people to the police. The funds from The robberies Ned Kelly pulled off went to the townspeople he grew up with, he was regarded as an Australian robin hood and for good cause. The justice system wasn’t the same in Ned Kelly’s time and this is where it started.

He only murdered in self-defense, he stole only ever from the rich and was known to give money to poor people. Statistics show that 50% of Australians have bothered to research the fact and the other 50% believe what ever the media tell them and do not even bother to find the true hard facts about the great Ned Kelly. He and his family had been framed many times before, he was first stent to jail at 14-years-old because of being falsely convicted of stealing money of a Chinese man. He did not stay in jail long because he was released because of lack of evidence. It is said this is the start of his life of being framed by the police. He was a great man, helping out the poor and protecting his family and friends against the corrupt police searching for nothing more than some extra cash. Will you
