“I used to see the moon as a flat disk, now I see it as a place i've been.” Neil Armstrong lived when space exploration was in desperate need of answers. President Kennedy, at the time, invested money into the program. Neil changed history when he was the first person to step foot on the moon. Few people criticized his work, but some judged his personality. Neil Armstrong’s bravery impacted America's space program allowing us to further succeed in NASA's discoveries.

He insisted on receiving awards privately. He was criticized for this. People got very upset that he wouldn't even show up to a celebration dedicated to him! Publicity was angered they could get little to none information about his experience going into space until he reached a very old age.

While people didn't fully agree with Armstrong's reluctant attitude, they had other things to say about who he worked for. Some believe that Neils trip to the moon was fake while he and his crew, were actors trying to trick the public. Even though Neil Armstrong received some criticism in his life, he continued to change America's entire perspective on space exploration.

It’s clear that Neil Armstrong exceeds NASA, and America itself, aspect on what is outside of earth. He has won numerous awards for his bravery, dedication, and undertaking in astronomy! We Americans would know very little about what life on the moon is like! Neil helped educate millions with prodigious work.
