Rolihlahla Mandela also known as Nelson Mandela was a South African Politician and revolutionary. Nelson Mandela is known all over the world for his activism and championship of human rights all over the world. Mandela has a fabled past in the South African region. His accomplishments and victories have changed the social structure of South Africa and the attitude towards human rights and its seriousness. During his youth, Mandela’s main focus was on dismantling the South African apartheid and ending institutionalized racism in South Africa. His recent death has reignited the case for human rights all over the world especially in countries like North Korea, Syria, and other countries which are having issues maintaining its citizens. Mandela was also known by his clan name “Madiba” which would be the name the world came to love and respect. Mandela’s grandfather was the leader of the Thembu people. Mandela grew up in a loving village which he was also allowed to follow the custom and principle of the town’s people.

Nelson Mandela has pushed the life of the people of South Africa. These South African men fought a struggle for freedom of the people. They have both left a huge mark on Southern African history. He also played an important role in popularizing the Freedom Press Charter, which was adopted by the congress of the People {1955}. (1999) in the late decade, Mandela’s attention turned to the struggles against labor. In 1962, Nelson Mandela was indicted for leaving South Africa and was sentenced to 5 years in prison {which was bogus}. Then in 1964 he was also indicted again with sabotage and treason and was given a long life sentence. Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison and wasn’t released until February 11. 1990. On the day that he was released, thousands of people came to greet him and thank him for his martyrdom. When he was released he then set forth goals that he completed nearly 4 decades later.
