Finding Nemo
The characters in Finding Nemo have some weakness or disability but instead of focusing on those weaknesses, they use their strengths to solve problems. Nemo has a messed up fin but has a lot of determination. Marlin is overprotective but has a lot of courage and heart. Dory has short term memory loss but is loyal and has good instincts. They all use their positive attributes to outweigh their weaknesses and can do anything that they set their minds to. To me the biggest leader in this theme I call optimism would be Dory. Dory never remembers Nemo's name. However, she cares about the little fish and his well-being. Despite her demeanor and always peppy attitude, there is tragedy to Dory. Because of her short term memory loss, there's no telling how many life experiences have passed by her, or how many loved ones she lost that she may not remember. When she starts travelling with Marlin her memory starts getting better as showing when she can repeat the address 'P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney'. “When Marlin thinks that Nemo is dead, and starts to give up”. Dory doesn't want him to leave because she is afraid that is she doesn’t find him she will forget everything. This fear is shown when Marlin leaves her for a few minutes then she starts to forget everything
