At the end of my sophomore year, I became a volunteer at my local First Aid and Rescue Squad, where I have been on numerous calls regarding to a patient with mental disabilities who expresses abnormal behavior. After each call, I am perplexed with why do people have mental impairments and how are they formed. In school, I have learned that the brain is the controller of the body and all its functions, I know that it must have a role in the degradation of mental abilities. My curiosity about the brain and its impact on behavior, and my desire to help those who are mentally disabled, sparked my interest in becoming a neuropsychologist. The Summer@Brown program would enable me to advance my knowledge in neuropsychology due to the fact
