In those spechess her father would talk about how they should never give up. Near the end of the article Mary talks about how at one point in her life she did indeed give up. When ever that happens to me I always get this voice in my head saying you cant give up you have to push through and see it till the end. In this article Mary talks about how she never wanted to give up for her father. It was at that point she relized she that not only did she not want to give up for hwer father , but also for herself. This essay stood out to me and I really enjoyed it. The reason being is that this essay talks about never giving up. Its a life lesson everyone should learn for themselfes. Mary talks about her dad in the essay and how without him she would have never learned the greatest lesson anyone could have ever taught her. Isnt that the truth sometimes family can give us gifts like money or cars.. But at the end of the day the best gifts family can give us is advice and their support.
