First I want to say thanks to coach Hollon for the sideline and parking pass that you always leave for me, and the media packet.
Now on to what turned out to be a really competitive football game, even with all of the flags that were thrown.

Newark Catholic started this one out with a boom, with Grant Rausch taking the opening kickoff all the way to the Bearcats 19 yard line. The boom did not last long as the Paint Valley dominating defense showed early that they were ready for what ever the Green Wave tried.
The Green Wave offense took the ball down to the Bearcats one yard line and opted to go for it on fourth and one. Paint Valley easily stuffed quarterback, Kris Goodman short of the end zone, to keep this a scoreless game.

Through three drives Newark Catholic had a grand total of 2 yards.

McFadden showed off his arm at the 7:58 mark of the 2nd quarter, when he connected with a open Tony Hatfield for a 46 yard touchdown.The point after kick by,Jacob Ott gave the Bearcats a,7-0 lead.

Newark Catholic got a nice kickoff return by,Jud Lewis who took the ball out to the Newark Catholic 37 yard line, with 7:53 left in the half.
The fourth drive of the night for Newark Catholic ended as quickly as it started. Newark Catholic would have negative five yards after their fourth drive of the game. They had connected on just 2 of 5 passes at this point of the game.

At the 3:58 mark of the quarter Cole Buchanan and Conner Sheehan teamed up to sack McFadden. The Green Wave defense was doing all they can to keep the team on the game, as the offense was struggling as badly as they have all season.

McFadden would shake off the sack and connect with Hatfield for a 36 yard gain, with 3:20 left in the half.
With 2:51 left in the half Teagan McFadden was held to a two yard gain as he was leveled by Buchanan and Nolan

Goodman used his feet at the 9:49 mark of the quarter to gain 9 yards and a first down, when the Green Wave were facing a third and eight. Newark Catholic looked to have kept the drive a live, when they went on it on fourth and three from the Bearcats forty four, but a penalty was called on the Green Wave.

Anthony McFadden would be sacked again at the 5:12 mark of the quarter by Nolan Jurden for a big loss. The Bearcats were forced to punt a short time later. On the punt Jud Lewis fielded the ball and took it all the way to the Paint Valley 14 yard line, with 4:21 left in the game.

From there Wes Jurden picked up 7 yards on a nice run with 4:00 left in the game. Wes Jurden would score on a one yard run with 2;28 left to bring the Green Wave within one point of the Bearcats. McCarthy came in and boomed the point after kick through to lock this one up at 13.

With 32.6 seconds left in the game Sheehan sacked Anthony McFadden to bring up a 4th and 14.

The score stayed that way as the clock ran out in regulation and overtime was called upon to decide a
