The Night She Disappeared by April Henry

Where did she go and will they find her? This book is called “The Night She Disappeared” by April Henry. Teens should really pay attention to this book because most teens are at the wrong place at the wrong time. They should also pay attention to the type of person someone is. I’m going to focus on the characters, the climax and the resolution. In these pieces of the book it talks a lot about the two things I mentioned.
The main characters I’m going to talk about is Gabie, Drew, Kayla, and John. Drew and Kayla are somewhat alike. They are both popular in a way. Drew is a jock and has a good personality and likes Kayla. Kayla is nice and not mean but doesn’t like Drew. Gabie is a sweet girl to and they all only talk to each other at work. They all work at Pete’s Pizza. They act awkward towards each other. Drew tries to talk to Gabie at school but she doesn’t answer back. It tells most of what the book is really about. When Kayla is kidnapped and is in John’s house is mostly the climax. He starts to torture her and her friends, Gabie and Drew, are trying to save her. Kayla was very scared and tried different ways to escape from him but it never work which feel like everything was useless. A part that shows this is when Kayla says “And I pray that I’ll be ready. Ready to kill him. Or ready to kill myself, if it comes to that. Because I would rather draw my homemade knife across my wrists than take three months to die.” John is scaring all of them by just taking Kayla. He is also trying to take Gabie now and kill Kayla. He is very stupid and dumb for doing these things. Teens should pay attention to who there talking to because there is always one person who is crazy and will do something very stupid and hurt
