Nightmare bacteria or super bugs are bacteria cause infections that difficult to treat because bacteria have resistance to known antibiotics.
Addie Rerecich was diagnosed with sepsis r/t MRSA. She developed high fever, pain and boils over all body, and pneumonia. Antibiotics, which used to treat bacterias was not help because this types of bacteria are resistant to Meticillin – synthetic antibiotic of Penicillin. Lung deteriorated and life support provided by introduced to ECMO- machine which functions like lung. Any invasion as surgery have high risk. Addie was diagnosed with Stenotrophomonas- multiple drug resistant bacteria. In Addie Rirecich's case none of antibiotics worked, affected lung was surgecly removed and used transplant.

They both can found in hospital setting as dust, medical equipment; can be alive up to a few month and can cause disease when introduce in different part of body as blood. Recently more case found this types of bacteria in community also. MRSA is gram positive bacteria. The are two theory why resistance to antibiotics occur: first is because some bacteria always resistant and other is because of mutation.
