Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna Jr., better known as Nikki Sixx, was born on December 11, 1958 in San Jose, California. He was partially raised by his mother before she had abandoned him and he was sent to live with his grandparents, where they moved around several times. When Sixx reached the age of seventeen, he moved to Los Angeles and started trying to make a little money for himself with jobs at a liquor store and selling vacuums over the phone, all while he was auditioning for bands around his area.
Sixx finally joined the band Sister in 1975, but after recording their demo, he along with Lizzie Grey were fired. Him and Grey then formed their own band in 1978 called London, but Sixx departed them after a year or so. Finally Nikki Sixx
