On 03/18/2018 at approximately 0217 hours, I heard via radio Captain Bittner #5167 advised that he was at Nippers Bar for an unwanted person. I was just about to pass the bar when the radio transmission came across so I stopped to assist. Upon my arrival, I observed Cpt. Bittner, Sgt. Clements #5172, and PO Mottershead #5221 entering the establishment.
I exited my patrol vehicle and approached Cpt. Bittner as he was inside already. Upon entering the vestibule area, I observed a large number of intoxicated persons trying to get back inside after they were already told to leave. I also observed several small fights just inside the doorway and heard a lot more commotion just inside of the bar. I started to escort patrons out through the main door when I was pushed my several intoxicated patrons attempting to get back inside of the bar. After approximately 100 patrons left the bar, they started to loiter just outside the entrance. Cpt. Clements guided him to the ground, I assisted with placing him into handcuffs. After that male was placed under arrest, I escorted him to my patrol vehicle. The male was asked if he had any injuries on scene, which he replied, “Yea, my face is all scratched up” and began to point to his left side of his face, however, the scratch was on the right side of face on the cheek. At this point, several responding towns were on location and helping to disperse the large crowd. After police gained control of the situation, Cpt. Bittner advised everyone via radio to stand by your vehicle if someone is under arrest inside it.
