No Texting While Driving: The Hillary Colharp Story

It’s been 7 months since my car accident. Me and my mom was driving from Kohl’s. We was getting on the highway when all the cars kept speeding up and not letting us on the highway. All of a sudden my head jerked forward and my back hit the seat really hard. We got hit in the back of the car. Our car almost fell down the hill but it luckily stopped before we reached the hill. Later we found out that the guy was texting while driving. I agree with passing the “no texting while driving” law because a lot of people die in car accidents mostly because of texting and driving.
My first reason to why I agree is that people don’t pay attention to the road and that’s affecting people lives. When you are driving the road is supposed to be your only focus. If you want to text someone then pull off the road and text the person. In the article of “The Hillary Colharp story”, it says, “ They later learned that after hanging up her call, Hillary began texting which caused her to lose control.” In the article of “One Text or CallCould Wreck it All”, it says, “There are too many sad tales of deaths and injuries that could have been prevented had drivers been paying attention to the road instead of someone or something else.” Don’t let technology kill you or someone else.

Not only passengers and drivers get injured but the people on the road working. The girl was about sixteen years old and she was just driving. Even though he wasn’t the one who got hurt it was the fact that it could’ve been him.
