Before Thor was a Marvel superhero he was the god of thunder. Norse mythology was the religion that people of ancient Germany followed. The Norse Gods have many tales relating to the creation and the meaning of this world. Every god in Norse mythology has a story of their own that relates to the creation of the world. Each god also have an elemental power that belongs to them. The first tale of Norse mythology was the creation of the cosmos. In this tale it tells the birth of the first god/giant Ymir and other giants like Bor and Bestla. Accordng to Dan McCoy website "Norse Mythology for Smart People" he said "Odin and his brothers slew Ymir and set about constructing the world from his corpse. They fashioned the oceans from his blood, the soil from his skin and muscles, vegetation from his hair, clouds from his brains, and the sky from his skull." The Norse cosmos creation believes that when life comes with death and the creation of the world is ongoing. The center of the Norse cosmos is the great world tree Yggdrasil with has nine roots.
