The questions asked in this tool are useful in predicting death as it asks multiple questions regarding factors that influence and have a strong relationship with life expectancy. One question pertains to family cardiovascular health. According to source one, those who have a slim chance of cardiovascular disease have normal blood pressure levels. It directly states that “Increased blood pressure in adulthood is associated with large reductions in life expectancy and more years lived with cardiovascular disease”1. Therefore, those with a slim chance of cardiovascular disease live longer. Both men and women's life expectancy are affected similarly by cardiovascular disease.
