1. State at least three reasons why you want to become an educator?
I would like to become an educator to teach and impact children lives positively. My first reason would be to have the opportunity to profoundly impact the lives of children, and the ability to help children achieve their best. Secondly would be affecting the future by educating and inspiring students not only academically but personally. Thirdly is having the satisfaction that I’m giving back to the community.

2. How can you encourage students to read and state why reading is important in every content area?

I can encourage students to read by asking them their interest of movies, artist, or favorite subject. Every student has different interest some may like scary movies, romantic movies, or drama. Explain how students can build knowledge by reading. There are books for anything you can think about. The main purpose is that reading helps students become fluent readers and helps improve their knowledge. Reading a cook book or reading a science book can help students to discover and learn new things. It is important to read in every content area because before solving a math problem you must read and comprehend the question being asked. -In order to prepare for the TExES content exam first I must know what the test covers. Reviewing and practicing all competencies.
-Practice and study all domains and competencies on certify teach to help assess how well I know the content.
- Make sure I have all the materials needed to help me prepare for the TExES content exam such as the Preparing to Teach Texas Content Areas book, and my login information to certify teacher as well as all my notes from my classes.
