Summary Evaluation The major strength of the WJIII is that the batteries have norms that are based on data from the same sample. This allows the individual's test scores from the WJIII COG standard and extended, WJIII ACH standard and extended and DS to be directly compared which is not possible with separately normed tests. Being co-normed also has the advantage of the batteries functioning together and the user being able to administer selected tests or clusters as required for the individuals testing requirements. Co-norming also allows for the ability to compute discrepancy scores that can be used in diagnostic testing (Cizek, 2003; R. W. Woodcock et al., 2001).
