The Super Bowl will soon be upon us. As it stands, people are already getting ready for the event; buying tickets and clearing out their schedules. However, there are those who might not make it to the Stadium. In fact, they might not even be in the country at the time. Nevertheless, there are ways that they could still stream the Super Bowl online for free.

All these ways rely on having either a VPN or proxy, which allow you to access content that is geo-locked for the US. That way, you get to access sites that will broadcast the Super Bowl online for free. Which of the two is better for streaming? To know that, we must look at both based on streaming needs.

Speed

Your streaming experience is influenced by the speed of your connection. Ideally, you should ensure that you have a fast and stable connection. While most people argue that a proxy is faster than a VPN, they fail to consider other factors that affect the speed and connection. A VPN could offer many servers for use at the same time and even switch them automatically. On the other hand, when you connect to the proxy, you only access one server and cannot switch it. That means that millions of people will be using the same proxy server, which will make the connection slow and unstable. In this regard, therefore, the VPN is the better option.

Unfortunately, although a proxy server can bypass geo-restrictions, it is not secure. If the proxy server is hacked, then all your data is exposed and could easily be exploited. A VPN encrypts your internet traffic and hides it by routing it through a secure network tunnel. That way, you remain both secure and anonymous. When it comes to security, therefore, the VPN is still the better option.
