1. The group had two different opinions; one quarter liked the outside preparation, three quarters did not like the outside preparation. The one quarter liked the outside preparation because they felt that the research gave them more background about the lab they were doing. They could spend the time researching online exactly what the experiment wanted us to do. The other three quarters of the group felt that the labs were too difficult, and that the descriptions on canvas didn't provide enough information to create a procedure. They would prefer to have a procedure given to them. New learning strategies included the development of experiments. Especially research on background information about the substance. The group also tried to use the library, but google was much more useful. In the future, we will practice more researching skills, trying to learn more background information about experiments, and what the results we will be trying to get.

2. In the conference, when the groups separated, and they discussed the negative things

The group members each had different experiences from the lab that they found particularly intriguing. For example, some members really enjoyed the quantum lab; especially when they had the opportunity to put the samples under the UV light. The bright blue spectrum was quite amazing, and the experiment had been designed and carried out by them. Other members found the simple distillation to be very cool. They enjoyed it because the apparatus was impossible to build at first, but after some practice, they mastered the craft of distillation. All group members will not be pursuing chemistry, but we will take some practice from the lab. Most importantly, designing an experiment with a team, carrying out the experiment, and learning you did it completely wrong. This is important in engineering because we will be design products from scratch, with no background. We will have to know how to fail, in order to succeed and solve
