F) There is no current policies in place that are vital to have to ensure the correct systems are used, and what the necessary steps are for system backups, and management control procedures. The current business continuity plan that was documented it out of date and has never been tested and also refers to technology's that are no longer in use and refer to employees hat no longer work for the company.

Issues: If there is no policy's in place to guide management and staff of the correct procedures to follow to ensure that we are 1) Protecting our client information 2) Ensuring we are not in breach of the Data protection acts. I would recommend that the new IT Coordinator will help in guiding management on writing up these policy's as currently there is little IT expertise within the company.

1) Fire and flood protection- As I suggested earlier in my report all files within the office should be stored in a fire proof cabinet. As we are on the 2nd floor of a building we are less likely to be effected by flood damage from below, however we can still be effected by flooding from upstairs bathrooms or boiler rooms, after taking this into consideration on my office plan the I have attached the sever room is located in the middle of the floor which has no bathrooms or boiler rooms overhead.

2)Power supply and environment- It is essential to have a constant power supply in place to carry out the running of the business, so it is vital that we have a power supply back up in case the main power supply fails. I recommend that we get a UPS(Uninterrupted power supply) unit which will directly feed power to the computer. As stated above the server room should be fitting with Air conditioning and should be a clean and sterile environment to prevent dust from effecting the server which could cause the servers to break
