The importance of a human’s life augments by the grandeur of goals he or she achieves. I want people to remember me for centuries for inventing something, becoming someone. My goal is to solve the energy crisis in the world, and I will realize this aspiration by becoming a Nuclear Engineer; any help I can acquire will support me in my journey to bettering the world. The United States of America prides itself in its innovation for technology and being the pushing force forward in the fight for a better world. We as a nation are lacking new inventors, engineers, and people with the fervor for a higher standard of living. As an aspiring engineering student, I want to become the catalyst in the process that will solve our energy issues not only …show more content…
Currently, I am part of NHS (National Honor Society) and SWET (Southwest High School Engineering Team), and the Southwest Varsity Mariachi. Not to mention a myriad of advanced placement classes and advanced placement tests. Each one of those clubs and organizations has a purpose in my life. NHS is an elite club and requires a considerable amount of time to part take in. The club gives us an opportunity to gain experience and joy in helping through community service, which is beneficial in creating a better American society. SWET is arguably the most valuable club to me since it is giving me the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills about engineering that I will need in the future. In SWET, we are currently designing, building, and racing an electric and solar car. We will then take the electric car to Florida and race; last year we won first place overall and subsequently had the privilege to meet the President of the United States. This year will be our first ever year building a solar car which we will take to the Texas Motor Speedway and race. In SWET, I help design, manufacture the racecars, and in the …show more content…
If you decide to invest in my ability let not my word, but my accomplishments and attributes speak for themselves. I will fulfill and surpass any benchmarks set before me. My goals are to research and invent the answer to our energy problems. The world is in a situation it has never encountered before, that we lack energy. As a nuclear engineer, I will be able to research alternative forms of energy and thus, save the planet from an energy breakdown. My goal is to go to Texas A&M University in College Station and attend the Dwight Look College of Engineering so that I can obtain a degree in Nuclear Engineering. Therefore, this scholarship will greatly help me focus on school and allow me to live worry free through
