Week 9 Discussion

In terms of sociology, a nuclear family is the traditional couple and kids that are dependent on the parents. This has changed astronomically in the past decades. If we were to look back to the early to mid-1900s we would see a Man and a Woman with kids, who often began working at a young age to help support the family. As time progressed we still see a couple, but now that definition of couple has changed. We see with gay marriage being legalized that a couple can be any two people. Because of this, a traditional family became much easier to make happen. That being said, I feel like we see less and less of a nuclear family existing in today's society.
