My topic is factory. I like this topic because there is a lot I could write about. A factory is a building used for manufacturing. The first factories were ship building factories made in Venice, Italy by Richard Arkwright in 1769. Factories were developed to manufacture needs and wants quicker and more efficiently. Before factories were developed people got only what they needed. There are many types of factories but these are the main two, there are assembly line factories and machine factories I’ll start with assembly lines. An assembly line is a group of workers with machines in a factory where items are assembled. A machine factory is a factory that produces machines. Working in a factory is hard work but it pays well. Most factories have machines but some do all of the work by hand. Even if factories have machines people need to work there to make sure everything is working right and to start the machine. Working in a factory can be dangerous, there could be flattening machines, pounding machines, or molding machines that you could get caught in. Once enough items are made, and they are prepared, they put them in delivery trucks, and take them to stores. The factory logo is usually on the truck. There are a lot of delivery trucks leaving at a time to get everything delivered. Factory delivery trucks are usually really big so more things can fit in one truck at time so there won’t be as many trips. There are two main parts to a delivery truck, the cargo trailer witch looks like a big steel box, and the cab which is where the person drives. Even though factories are interesting and pretty important, there are a lot of problems with factories. There are a lot of working hours and it’s really hot. Factories are also a big cause of pollution. There are many types of pollution. Depending on the factory there could be oil spills. There is also a lot of bad fumes. There could also be a lot of byproduct, byproduct is basically unusable
