So, how can new graduate nurses and student nurses actually land a position in a nurse residency program? Obtaining a job as a nurse is a lot different than many other professions. Though some may believe in this day with the understaffed ratios that any nurse will be hired unpremeditatedly, this is an extremely false belief. As only half of the country offers nurse residency programs, many of which are magnet recognized multiple times, these nurse residency programs are looking to hire individuals that are specific to their facility’s mission and will add value to the environment.
