My aspiration to work in the health field comes from many different experiences in my life. As an only child and being a descendant of Haitian parents who came to America to make a better living for themselves, I am the first to further my education. I have opportunities that my parents did not have so I am dedicated and determined to follow my dreams to become a great Physician Assistant. After graduating from Florida Atlantic University, volunteering and becoming a certified nursing assistant grew my enthusiasm. I would love to be part of a team working with other health professionals, providing patients with information and counseling in an environment that appreciates diversity and supports minorities.

I studied how doctors, physician assistants, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, EMTs, and all other health professionals work together and on their own. Each patient who I care after, all has various health backgrounds. I work with patients with mild to severe Alzheimer’s disease, ovarian cancer, mild cognitive disease, vertigo, diabetic, Hepatitis C, fibromyalgia, suffered from kidney failure, and excreta. I provide the basic necessity and essence of living with patients who have difficulties taking care of themselves. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and skills with direct human contact. I enjoy every moment I share with patients and the support I provide for them and I want to be able to do more. I want to have the expertise and work beyond the job description of a nursing aide. I believe I have the potential, characteristics, and strengths to do that. I am someone who loves to solve problems and have empathy. Empathy is a valuable quality that is needed during difficult times. I can relate to this when patients and I are having a difficult time and I genuinely understand them. I truly feel passionate enough about working in the medical field. Because I am doing what it takes to improve myself since I have graduated. I want to go back to school to improve my science GPA.
