Why Many People Turn To Nursing Homes

Your loved ones will likely need some help with the activities of daily living. Many people do not mind helping their loved ones. However, it is often not possible for family members to be around all of the time. That is why many people turn to nursing homes.

When most people put their loved ones in a nursing home, they do not suspect that anything bad will happen. Nursing homes are required to comply by both state and federal laws. Failing to adhere to these regulations puts the elderly at risk. However, nursing home abuse is an extremely common occurrence. In fact, it is estimated that some form of abuse occurs in about 25 percent of nursing homes.
