Health always comes first. Young people go overboard with their junk food, and sugar. An increasing number of adolescents have forgotten that they are only harming themselves. Obesity with them has turned into more of a problem and is growing. What is obesity? It’s where a person has excess body fat. Sometimes obesity can come from a medical condition or genetics. The rates of obesity have increased a lot and in recent study it has shown that teens have become more prone to attaining type 2 diabetes. The two leading countries for this problem are Unites States and Australia. About 1/5 children and adolescents are overweight. The obesity had tripled between the ages of 7-15 years of age. This particular article was recently written, and states the numerical facts on adolescent obesity. United States, in both articles, still has an obesity problem. In the article it states that 12.7 million of children and adolescents are obese, which the problem is growing rapidly and a good chunk of teenagers are not taking care of themselves. The media is expressing that there are over 300,000 deaths per year. It also mentions that the obesity stays with children until they become adults, unless they really work hard to exercise when they are young. The media also mentions the risks and complications on obesity. It can causes high blood pressure, diabetes, breathing problems, joint pain, etc. Both articles explain the reasons how you can be obese, such as poor eating habits, overeating, the lack of exercise, etc. This article also explains how to help the child or teen with a positive attitude. Make sure they have proper self-esteem and confidence, and make them a comprehensive treatment plan.
