My second observation was at a grade level that I have actually considered teaching. I observed 6th-8th grade at Monrovia Middle School. The instructor was Mr. Turner who was very well liked by the students in his class. He was very engaging and kept the students attention during the entire class period.

The thing about Mr.Turner was that he was well-organized which helped the class run smoothly. He made sure that the students stayed on task and all were working on the activity for the day. I enjoyed watching all the students staying busy and enjoying what they were doing. This would not have been the case if Mr. Turner would have not been as organized as he was. The students seemed to appreciate it becuase they knew it meant longet time for activities.

This helped him understand the needs of his students better. Therefore, the gym seemed very relaxed and comfortable and none of the kids were complaining about having to participate. Mr. Turners relationship with his students is what I want with my studnets one day.

This field experience opportunity really helped me cement the decision that teaching is my calling. I am very excited about this career path. I will take things that I learned from Mr. Turner and apply them to my class one
