The negative contribution of ecological degradation results in food and water shortages and is often followed by sickness and diseases. Environmental degradation threatens humanity by impeding the ability to gain resources needed for basic survival; furthermore, increases the odds of economic wars and global distraught. It is evident though researched data that environmental degradation interrupts the natural sequences of the biosphere and serves as one of the primary contributors of ocean desertification.
