Medical coding could be described as a connecting factor between a patient’s health record and financial management. Coder interpretation is a significant factor in information management. A patient portal is a secure online website that gives patients convenient in accessing personal health information from anywhere with an Internet connection. Using a secure connection can help the patients view health information. The patient can display information such as health care provider visits, test results, billing, and prescriptions. This could lead to a better outcome of health care because you are more informed about your care. You can also e-mail your provider questions through the portal. You can make an appointment, find out test results, and ask questions through secure e-mail.
