Book Review: Odd Thomas
Dean Koontz knew from an early age he wanted to write. After graduating from college, he went to counsel and tutor young children. After this challenging experience, he went on to become an English teacher. He would write some at night and during the weekends. His wife then gave him an opportunity that he could not pass up. She said that she would support him for five years so he could write, and if he could not become a writer within that period of time then he was never going to become one. After the five years were up, his wife quit her job to help manage the money portion of his writing because he had become extremely successful. Since then, 14 of his books have been number one on the New York Times bestseller list, and has sold over 450 million copies of his books.
