Selflessness, responsible, and honesty are some traits that a strong leader should have. Prideful, greed, and selfishness are some traits that describe Odysseus. Odysseus' unwise decisions almost had his ship and crew destroyed after taunting the cyclops; whom which they barely escaped. Odysseus had been unfaithful to his wife with the witch Circe to turn his men back to humans but had stayed many seasons after for his own desire. Odysseus was not a strong leader and ultimately contributed to the destruction of his own men because he made unwise decisions that resulted in death and was weakened by his own temptation.

Circe was known for turning a strayed men, who were lured in by her singing, to animals. A few of Odysseus' men had been turned into animals and the only way for Odysseus to turn them back was for him to take Circe to bed. What was only a once requirement Odysseus' own desires and temptations let him linger there for many seasons. Time slipped away without Odysseus realizing the damage that had been done. While his wife Penelope remained faithful by holding off the suitors, Odysseus became weak due to the bliss he endured. Odysseus was physically strong but lacked the mental strength to be able to leave.
In conclusion, Odysseus was overall a weak leader and contributed to the destruction of his crew because of his unwise decisions that resulted in many deaths and was weakened by his own temptation. Odysseus barely escaped the cyclops and continued to taunt him which almost cost his life, ship, and crew. Odysseus was tempted by Circe and he was unfaithful for many seasons and he lost control of the situation. Odysseus was given more credit than he deserved and was selfish enough to take that credit and praise, which was not just
