In the story of the “Odyssey” Odysseus proves he is not only a man with excellent leadership skills , overwhelming strength and extremely cunning he shows that he undeniably admirable. From the time he and his shipmates washed up on the island of Aeaea where the sun goddess Circe now dwelled after being exiled from the land of her kingdom & turning all of his men into swine . To when Odysseus and his ship (At this point he had lost all his crew due to the curse that the Cyclops wished for and his father god of the sea poseidon had granted.) Washed up on the small island of Ogygia where the goddess Calypso Now dwelled after she had been banished to the island after supporting her father in the war of the gods vs the titans. Where she held him as a Sex slave for a little over seven years and only decided to let him leave because the gods had made her do it or presumably otherwise she would have kept him there for all of eternity and he just wanted to go home to be with his wife Penelope.

When his men were turned into swine in that moment he felt that to save his men's lives that he had to sleep with Calypso to convince her to change them back into men. Which she eventually did because of the actions of one Odysseus . Then when he was the only one of his crew left alive after the wrath of the gods had taken its course on he and his men. He washed ashore on the island of Ogygia where his only chance of survival was to sleep with calypso to secure that he would not starve to death and make sure his basic human needs were fulfilled & some people would condemn what he did but we should praise him for using his cunning wit and his charming good looks to his advantage to guarantee his survival on that godforsaken island .
