The story “Oedipus the King” which is a play, the author Sophocles, tells a story about Oedipus, a man who became the king of Thebes. He accidentally answers a prophecy that he would kill his father, Lauis, and marry his mother, Jocasta. Oedipus name which mean, swollen foot, which identify his own identity. When he was younger his was left in the mountain with his ankles stuck together and he was left with scars. This play has a foil between two people which are Oedipus and Creon.
