“Mice of Men” by John Steinbeck a story about a friendship between two people George and lennie, but George has a struggle trying to deal with lennie’s disabilities. “To a mouse” by Robert burns, a poem that express how one mouse got thrown out of his home in the winter, by a farmer doing crop work. The two stories end up corresponding the word. Mouse or mice. They relate in away if you read both you can understand the relationship. What is the poem relating to the reference of a mouse in the story? “ I'm truly sorry man’s dominion Has broken nature’s social union” (Stanza 2: line 1 and 2).What is the cause that George made to destroy someone social union like lennie. Union means “ uniting two or more things.” Social “ seeking the joy of a companion ship. In the book George made it a joke that him and lennie would own a ranch, also having a bunny farm included. The companion of the mouse that lennie had in the beginning George destroyed their “social union”. Did we really realize, what George had done, and knew if he friended lennie what it would take. Fear and guess, is like playing a game of cat and mouse or like walking through a maze. You honestly never know what's gonna happen, and what your gonna handle that's guessing. George finally had enough and in the poem “ Till crash! The cruel coulter past” (stanza 5: line 5). George crashed and killed lennie. If you think it's easier to guess and fear, then go for it. But, if you do that maybe think of the consequences you might get if you do that. Cause then, you might end up like George. Killing your friend after being pushed
