One of Dr. Seuss's book titled Oh, The Places You'll Go has a quote "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go..." this quote expresses how I felt on my first day of college. Although college is fun, I had to get through my first day of finding my classes, meeting my peers, and introducing myself.

Finding my classes was the toughest thing for me to do on my first day. I was engulf by million of students. It was difficult to find Hasting Hall at first but after walking in circles eventually I found it. When I entered the building I had to find my first class which was English ENF 1. Which I was not sure if it was on the first or second floor. I looked at the map and it did not have my classroom number so I thought it meant it was on the second floor. I was right I finally found my first class but, unfortunately my second class SDV 100, was on the first floor.

I wanted to make a good first impression to my classmates. I believe I will enjoy a class more if I get along with my classmates. When I entered my ENF class I started looking for familiar faces which I have not found in my first class but in SDV I did. There is no such thing as too many friends so I would try to make new friends in both classes. In my first class, I was trying to start a conversation with a girl in front of me but the words had got stuck in my throat the rest of class period. When I went to my second class and found a classmate who graduated high school with me all my words came rushing out.
