I never really knew America’s history as well as I do now so it gave me a little more appreciation for the country I live in and how it came to be. Previously the only thing I had learned in History is about the past wars and just a brief synopsis about the History of the United States so I never really got the in depth history about what happened and why it happened. As an American Citizen I think everyone should have to know a brief history of the United States so they know more about trends from the past and when they’re voting for things they know a little bit about similar things that have happened in the past. My favorite things we learned about were the World Wars. I liked learning how the whole word was divided and countries divided up to fight against each other. Whenever some countries would get into a scuffle the United States would often try to intervene and solve things and avoid war whenever possible. I really liked to learn about these scenarios because it made me proud to be an American. Also I liked when we learned about the American struggles and how the country came together to end the Great Depression and inflation and other rough times. It was cool to learn how my current country was in the past like it was cool to learn how your parents were in high
