I, Oladoyin Ajifowoke, would like to be considered as a master candidate, because I believe that the ideal candidate is someone that goes beyond the ordinary, a visionary person. I graduated from the University of Maryland: Baltimore County with a degree in Health Administration and Policy and psychology, with a mindset that understanding the people would give me a chance to understand what type of government and policy will be needed for the people. I have always been the type of person to put to good use the opportunity and resources given to me to accomplish something great. I once heard a story, told to me by my professor about two close friends taking a walk and admiring the beautiful weather, when all of a sudden they saw a dead body floating down the river. As they tried to help, they saw more bodies floating down the river. One of the friends decided to go and figure out the source of this problem instead of trying to resuscitate each individual. From this story I realized that there will always be an issue that calls for attention, but instead of fixing and focusing on the damages as it comes there is a need to go to the source. I want to be the individual that goes above and beyond. From that day on the definition of work and career changed, I wanted to work in order to make a change, cause the change, and be the change and not just to make ends meet. I started envisioning myself as a part of a community that desires to be the bridge between different nations. I strongly believe that if you are not different, you are not needed.

I grew up in a country where the government was not developed for the people, the country system was corrupt: the school system, electricity system, health system and the political system.
