Slavery has taken many forms from owning people to the need of unnecessary goods.During the colonial America, slaves were vital to the growth of the colonies. In time slavery evolves into materialism, which people buy anything to make them better or have standings in society. Therefore “The Interesting Narrative of the life of Olaudah Equiano” tell about African life during colonial America and an article named “Materialism slavery or Necessary Lifestyle” tell of how it exists today. Slavery will never disappear from this world, because it can be money that hold down your life, your job, and social media.

Olaudah Equiano’s Narrative describes the life of Africans going to colonial America. People’s article tells about how material slavery affecting your lifestyle and deem if it necessary lifestyle better. Comparing Equiano’s story to People article show slavery can take many forms that wreak havoc on your life.
