1. What thoughts were going through your mind when Old Scratch took you on the Black Horse?
 Well, the thoughts that were going through my mind when Old Scratch took me on the Black Horse made me feel terrible about myself. I was completely blindsided of the things I had done to many people and it really opened my eyes towards everything I had done. The level of greed just takes over a person, like a curse, and I wish I could go back and change my habits. I haven’t changed at all and it’s hard for me to realize that now. I felt the emotions of disappointment in myself since I knew my soul was going to be taken away just because of my voracity for the offer he made me.
2. Why were you so greedy and quick with trusting Old Scratch because of one simple deal?

Don’t let greed blind you, for, as is in my case, it can have disastrous consequences. My choices over material, wealth and financial prosperity led me to the over well-being of others. I was more concerned with the loss of my valuable property than the murder of my wife by Old Scratch. I show no sympathy for those who came to seek loans and instead bleeds them dry. My values lie in the wrong place, and in the end I was punished for it. My morals and values have changed me because I know now the true fate of what bargaining can do to you. I did not anticipate the consequences of the deal I agreed to, and later on I face the fearful prospect of an eternity of damage because of it. It is a clear message that I must be careful and more importantly that you should when making deals with everyone; ensure the terms are understood fully, or you may find yourself regretting that to which you agreed
