A.T. Youth Safety Essay The one-week self-defense program taught by Master T was very enjoyable and helped me develop in many ways. I found the program engaging and delightful for several reasons such as improving my confidence and strength both mentally and physically. I also adored the program since it helped me develop my self-discipline and making me believe that many things are possible through hard work.
First, I found the program amusing since it helped boost my confidence. Prior to the program, I felt unconfident with my ability to defend myself in any sort of alarming situation. I was only able to envision myself getting into a mental breakdown. However, now I am able to see myself utilizing all the techniques we learned in class such as using my voice and running away if a weapon is pointed at me. After learning all the skills I feel much more confident in going out and walking around the street with my friends. Therefore, this program was enjoyable since it greatly developed my confidence.

Even though this program only lasted a few days I felt as though it assisted me to become stronger both mentally and physically. It made me stronger by urging me to go out of my comfort zone and do many exercises such as crunches and jumping jacks. The program additionally encouraged me to exercise at home and eat healthier. I only made small improvements in terms of that but as I keep working harder I will hopefully be able to turn it into a habit that changes my whole life. Furthermore, the program made me feel mentally stronger by making me release all of the stress I had through screaming and using my body. Thus practicing self-defense derived my physical and mental
