Trafficking does not merely apply to sex, forced marriage and labor, it also applies to organs. Just as with other forms of trafficking there are several people involved. The individuals involve consist of, the transporter, the recruiter, the doctors and other medical staff, the contractors, and the trafficker, along with the banks that store the organs and the buyers (Un.Gift.Hub). The business of organ trafficking is very lucrative with many people involved, this is why it has been so problematic when it comes to putting an end to organ trafficking. One important aspect of putting an end to organ trafficking is commination. This paper will look at the role communications play in the ending of organ trafficking.

Most of the organs are obtained from third world countries and then sold to people in North America and Europe on the black market. This is usually done through hospitals and medical staff. According to the World Health Organization traffickers take possession of over 7,000 kidneys a year illegally. (Bindel). The organ trafficking trade currently has over 10,000 operations a year on the black market. This means that more than one human organ is being bought an hour and provides about 10 percent of all transplants
