OSHA Definition: Stands for Occupational Safety and Health Administration. It is a federal organization that ensures safe and healthy working conditions for Americans by enforcing standards and providing workplace safety training.
Example: OSHA helps business protect their workers and reduce the number of workplace deaths, injuries and illnesses.
REV PAR Definition: Revenue per available room is a performance metric in the hotel industry, which is calculated by dividing a hotel's total guestroom revenue by the room count and the number of days in the period being measured.
Example: Many hotels use REV PAR to indicate their revenue management and also to compare to other hotels competitively.
