Adversity is a big part of life that is a challenge that I think everyone will face at least once in their lifetime. Every single day this impacts people's lives positively and negatively. I am going to tell you about different people facing different types of adversity in real life. The people who faced this is Shackleton’s crew, a rugby team and myself. All three are very different on the ways they deal with it and in the problems that they faced.

Imagine what it would be like to be the first person ever to accomplish something great that has never been accomplished. A team of people attempted to be the first ever crew to sail from one side of the Antarctic to the other but their trip did not go as planned. This past year we read the book

Their first problems arose after their ship The Endurance got stuck in the ice and rolled over. The crew came to conclusion that their only way to return home and find help would be to navigate their own way out of their ice enclosed trap. One of the first huge problems they encountered was how exactly they were going to leave. The crew would need their lifeboats to escape but they were trapped in solid ice.The crew could not leave the lifeboats because they had no other way to get across the water so they made the decision that they would have to carry the lifeboats across the icy dessert in order to get to the water. These food rations were so slim that they got to making one peanut last three days and they couldn’t survive on this. When all the food was gone there was no choice but to cut into the bodies of the dead. The bodies were preserved because they were frozen in the snow and they could cut them with glass shards lying around. People were refusing to eat it at first but eventually this was the only food source that they could rely on. There was so players who were in medical school training so they knew exactly where to take meat from. The team’s life was already on the verge of being over but they still had hopes that someone would rescue them. They managed to assemble a radio and they heard on the news nobody was looking for them. Nando, one of the team members was very determined that the
