Writing a paper comes with its advantages and its disadvantages. Everyone struggles with some aspect of writing a paper, but whether we use those struggle to make it a good or bad experience is up to the writer. I feel like the struggles should seen as a good thing even though the writing process can be long and dreadful, it teaches us something new every time. While writing my literacy narrative I learned many different things that I will be able to carry over into my next paper. While writing my literacy narrative, the hardest part for me was trying to pick something to write about. This always seems to be the hardest part for me when writing any paper. I think all of these obstacles have helped my writing change develop into what it is now. I think my writing has changed drastically from freshmen year to senior year. I think as a freshmen I did not display my best effort in my writing. I feel that my diction and style has changed a lot. Not only has my writing changed over the years but it has also changed from my first draft to my final draft. I think my last draft had more details along with better grammar and diction. I applied the suggestion from Mrs. Schlatt along with the suggestions from my peers that I was able to get from the peer grading assignment we were to …show more content…
I have been doing my best to try my hardest on everything that challenges me, although I can be lazy sometimes. One of the challenges this class has given me was this assignment of writing a literacy narrative. Writing narratives has never been easy for me, but I feel like this experience was good for me. Although the I struggled, I was able to grow and learn new things while writing. I can now use all the different things that I have learned and make the next time around a little bit easier for me. I easily could have made this a negative experience but I decided to take all the corrections and criticism and use it to better myself in the future. For my next paper, I would like to not procrastinate and also make sure that my paper is the best it could be before I turn it in. I feel like this time around I should have made more people read over my paper and make sure it is at its best. My goal for all my papers is for each to be better than the one before
