Oxbow Park is one of my favorite places to go for an outdoor trip after feeling stir crazy from being stuck in a cramped room all day. It is also a great place to go early in the morning before work to give me something to fantasy about while staring at a dull computer all day. While the park itself is not as large as some parks within an hours drive, it has everything a person could need. From trying my luck on the river catching some delicious fish or going through a hike in the hills under the shade of the tress, it is a wonderful place to be.

Driving can be troublesome, but the trip to Oxbow is not that difficult and it can be relaxing. With it being so close to Gresham, it doesn't require me to waste too much precious time or money which saves me a lot of stress. The route I usually take will bring me through wide open country farms where you can start to smell the scent of trees more clearly then you can in the people infested town. The icing on the top is that the return trip is just as quick and safe should the weather decide to turn unfriendly and angry.

Unlike other parks, some of the trails are easy access for those who has problems walking such as my mother who will often accompany me to get a breath of fresh crisp nature air and see the fierce flora. Throughout the hike, I often stumble on some beautiful lookout points where I can see the tall green trees accepting the warm rays of sun for miles.
