This book will be used as a secondary source to describe the actions of POW/MIA families in pressing the military and the federal government to repatriate the living prisoners or remains from Southeast Asia. The book is co-authored by one of the earliest leader of the National League of Families (NLF) and a professional writer. They used their own experience as well as a large number of newspaper articles about POW/MIA, NLF website materials, historical research in the Vietnam War, military publications, and governmental documents kept by the NLF to construct their narration of the trajectory of the NLF from the mid 1960s to the late 1970s when the NLF became a full fledging, influential organizations calling for the repatriation of prisoners
