PV2 Aikens' served as a postal specialist at the Joint Military Mail Terminal (JMMT). She properly accounted for and escorted over 800 pieces of registered mail to various locations on the Korean Peninsula. With the use of electronic mail sorting and scanning devices, PV2 Aikens' assisted in sorting over 653,870 pounds of in and out bound mail and meticulously loaded and unloaded the pieces of mail according to the type and destination. This action resulted in no mail losses through superb accountability and an accurate dispatch process.

PV2 Aikens' was often sought out by peers for training and the processing of mail. Her knowledge and meticulous attention to detail was instrumental and resulted in the smooth movement of over 30,000 pounds

PV2 Aikens' while working in the JMMT conducted daily postal operations by ensuring manifest were created correctly daily, all voting ballots were accounted for as well as High Value Items (HVI) were secured until proper time for loading. PV2 Aikens' attention to detail and hard work did not go unnoticed.

PV2 Aikens' exemplified the total Soldier by seeking self improvement while assigned to the JMMT. She exhibited determination by taking college classes earning 24 college credits towards her Associates Degree. Her commitment to higher learning set the example for fellow Soldiers.
