1. Homicide Suspect Killed in Police Shootout on I-80 ID’d as Owner of Limo Company

Demilo Trayuon Hodge a 45-year-old man died on the interstate 80 in Emeryville, California on September 27, 2017. Hodge was wanted for the killing of a 68-year-old named William Freeman. The police tried to pull him over for a traffic stop but he didn’t stop. Hodge continued to I-80 westbound. There was already highway patrol on the interstate handling a crash so they took it upon themselves to help stop him. They stopped him by laying spikes in the road in efforts to stop the black SUV he was driving. Hodge’s car hit the wall barrier and came to a stop. About 10:08 p.m. Paddock was letting out gunshots from the 32nd floor in his hotel that overlooked the crowd. The gunshots lasted about 10-15 minutes. There was a lot of people that covered the bodies of loved ones trying to protect them. Other heroic people who rushed people to the hospital in hopes to save their lives. In Paddocks hotel, was a big collection of weapons including 10 rifles. The police are thinking he has some help bringing all this in his hotel just because he had so much. More than 50 people were killed and over 400 people were rushed to the hospital. Paddock took his own life as police tried to get in his room but when they did it was too late. They are unsure of why the shooting even happened and since he took his life it will remain a mystery. Doesn’t look like its related to any terrorism. The police had held a lady for an interview thinking she was a “person of interest” but they released her because she ended up not having anything to do with the killings. But people in the community came together and donated blood to those who needed
