The Paleo diet is considered by many to be one of healthiest diets around. It's very popular within the health and fitness community, with many swearing by its effectiveness. In contrast to most other fad diets in the marketplace, the Paleo diet doesn't overly concern itself with detoxing, calorie count, or even macronutrients ratios.

The Paleo diet is really about making the right food choices. Sugar, grains, processed foods, and a number of other foods are not permitted with the Paleo diet. It is a fairly restrictive weight loss program, but not overly so. Nonetheless, many of the foods that aren't allowed are quite often very near folks’s hearts.

The elimination of sugar means that those favorite comfort meals are off the menu. So are the usual desserts, ice cream, and other goodies. Most folks can't imagine life without indulging in these foods at least once in a while.
