Pat Tillman had been an overall great guy. On September 11, 2001 2,977 people died due to a terrorists attack on the twin towers. This affected many people and Tillman was one of them. He later went into the war because he felt like he wasn’t doing anything for his country like his other family members did. He goes on to make a difference
Pat Tillman was a great man and had many great qualities and having a strong work ethic is great. For example, when he was first getting scouted, he didn’t let the coaches leave the field for 45 minutes because he felt that he could do better every time. This quality is especially important in everyone as well because you can’t just give up because someone says that you can’t do it. This trait became clear very quickly to everyone he worked with and he had a great deal of effect on them as well because of his work ethic.
Another trait of his that really stood out to me is his determination for example, when he didn’t make varsity on baseball, he decided to quit and was determined to play football. He did this by going to the gym and lifting weights. He was very determined to prove all the people that said he couldn’t make in football wrong and that's exactly what he did. The one that really just stood out to me is how selfless he was. I say this because when interviewers after a particular game he took no credit for doing great instead he gave the credit to everybody on the team because without them he couldn't of done it. He also gave up his NFL career to go into the army and help fight for the country he lives in and loves. One of the many things he did stuck out the most to me was when he had a letter prepared for his wife in case he did lose his life in the army and it stated that he wants his wife to live and be happy.
